Welcome to Macaroni Kid
Issaquah, Sammamish, Snoqualmie, North Bend and Fall City
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." My dad shared this Robert Frost quote with me years ago. This week those words have come back to me.
You know how things happen in threes? This week has been one of those weeks ... when three separate events converged to serve as a reminder that each day is a gift and the human spirit is an inspiration. A colleague lost her brother unexpectedly. My research about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month led me to Ben's Story and countless others like it. I read the front page of the Issaquah Press and found an account of 9/11 told by a local mom and a friend of mine.
In the midst of this trio, I read this article, Hug your children while you can and had myself a good, long cry. And then I got busy living my life and doing my very best not to take it for granted - called my parents just to say I love you, gave extra hugs to my girls and my full attention to my husband.
While that is a tall order - living each day to its fullest - it's a goal worth striving for. Macaroni Kid is happy to help you seize the day and live it up; we're all about minimizing your time searching for the latest events in the hopes of maximizing your family fun!
THIS WEEK Macaroni Kid is bringing you ...- Pants Party at Eastside Baby Corner: Bring some pants, make a noodle necklace with Macaroni Kid, enjoy treats from an MK favorite - Cupcake D'Lish, and more!

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth." ~ Dan Rather
