June 25, 2015
Suncadia, a Destination Hotel, is hosting its first ever Multisport Summer Festival from July 24 to July 26 with opportunities for participants to bike, walk and run in a variety of races from a 5k to a full marathon. Hosted and organized by Energy Events, the festival is sure to be the first of many and to become a yearly tradition for runners, cyclists and families alike.

After the races, participants and spectators can enjoy the Summer Brewfest featuring 15 taps from some of the Northwest’s best breweries like Elysian Brewing, Iron Horse Brewery, Fremont Brewing, Heathen Brewing, Loowit Brewing Company and many more. Guests can also visit the Active Expo at the Nelson Farm to learn about the latest product offerings, purchase gear and fuel up on food from the likes of Clif Bar, Oberto, Skora, Timex and Sweet Sport Skirts.

The multisport weekend kicks off Friday, July 24 with event registration, cycle tour, kids’ races along with the opening of the Summer Brewfest and Active Expo, which will continue to run throughout the three-day weekend. On Saturday, July 25 a half and full marathon will take place, and on Sunday, July 26 a 5k, 10K, Olympic Duathlon and Kids 1 mile walk/run will continue the festivities. All participants will begin at Suncadia’s picturesque Nelson Farm to run or bike through scenic sites such as the historic coal mining towns of Roslyn and Ronald, Cle Elum Lake and Speelyi Beach Park. Famous runner and cyclist, Bart Yasso, will be waiting at the finish line to announce participants as they cross.
