Jump for Joy with Macaroni Kid

You know what I really love about being a parent?  Let me assure you it is not the meltdowns or marathon bedtime routine.  It's the chance to relive my own childhood - to indulge in the simple pleasures of sky-high swinging, water balloon fighting, sand castle building, kite flying, bike riding, downhill rolling, mud-pie making, ...

Seeing that list makes it hard for me to admit that sometimes I am guilty of missing out on those experience. Unless we are on vacation and away from the daily demands of motherhood, they can easily become moments I observe or background noise. I hesitate or make excuses because my grown-up brain gets in the way.  I focus on my never-ending To Do List instead of the beautiful moment happening right in front of me. All of the responsibilities, expectations, and even exhaustion cloud my judgement.  And, well, divert me from one of the things I love about being a parent.

But lately, perhaps more than ever, I have been determined to approach those activities with reckless abandon - not from the sidelines but right in the middle of the action.  The perfect time is now. Because it is in those moments that memories are made; that I help write the story of my daughters' childhood.

You cannot always wait for the perfect time,
sometimes you must dare to jump.

With all of this on my mind, I came upon this quote, which is kind of perfect because my family recently became owners of a Springfree Trampoline, and all four of us have been jumping every chance we get!  I wish I could capture the giggles and shouts of joy coming from our backyard!

Not only is it the "world's safest trampoline," but it also includes the very first outdoor interactive digital gaming system.  It's called Tgoma which stands for Take Gaming Outside and Make it Active, and it uses embedded sensors to communicate via Bluetooth with my tablet.  With Tgoma we can play games, track our total number of jumps, view our statistics in comparison to other jumpers around the world, and even complete a really good workout.

Clearly a Springfree Trampoline
is nothing like the accident-waiting-to-happen trampoline of 30 years ago, however it is definitely giving me the opportunity to relive my childhood and act like a kid! The only thing I am waiting for is MY TURN to jump!

If you aren't already familiar with Springfree Trampoline, you really should stop by the showroom in Issaquah to try it - and the new Tgoma - for yourself.  Mark your calendar for June 18 when you can jump and sing along with Mikey Mike during the Springfree Family Concert.

So go ahead and jump in with both feet because this week's newsletter is packed with all kinds of good stuff!

We hope this week gives you plenty of opportunities to relive your childhood - go ahead and jump right in!

Peace. Love. Macaroni!
