9 Local Places to Pick Your Own Berries

It's bound to be a delicious adventure when you head out into the fields of a local U-Pick Farm to harvest your own bucket of berries!  And once you get home with all those berries, you may want to check out a few of our favorite recipes on our Summer Pinterest board!​​

What: U-Pick Raspberries and Strawberries {Strawberry picking starts June 12, 2017}

Both owned and managed by Bellevue Parks & Community Services Department 

What:  Products include cut flowers, a variety of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and U-pick blueberries.
When:  10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday
Tip: bring valid Washington state identification as a deposit for picking buckets, and remember to check in with the produce stand upon arrival.

A few things to keep in mind ... 

Most U-Pick Farms are cash only. Bring cash - small bills are often in high demand. 

Leave your pets at home.

Generally picking buckets are provided, but it's a good idea to bring along a small bucket for your youngest pickers. Take home flats/containers aren't always available.

You won't find much shade in the fields, bring a hat and apply sunscreen.

Facebook seems to be the communication tool of choice for berry-picking farms. For up-to-date information, we suggest checking there first.
