Salish Lodge & Spa, in partnership with the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, announces the return of Music on The Green summer concert series, featuring performances by five local musicians on select dates in July and August. Tickets for these intimate shows—held on the Centennial Green, a serene park-like area located adjacent to The Lodge—are limited to 200 guests and include a Salish signature blanket and a gourmet picnic complete with fresh Salish Lodge bites to enjoy.
The second annual Music on The Green line-up includes the following renowned local artists:
- Thursday, July 10 – With music described as “gritty and soulful, raucous and beautiful,” Seattle singer-songwriter Shelby Earl returns to Music on The Green following the launch of her sophomore album, Swift Arrows, in late-2013. Earl has garnered praise from the likes of NPR, Rolling Stone, American Songwriter and many others and in the words of Benjamin Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, “[Shelby] has the most heartbreakingly beautiful voice in Seattle.”
- Thursday, July 24 – Sera Cahoone, Colorado-native turned Seattle-based singer-songwriter, combines elements of both classic country-western and modern indie rock. She’ll be performing hits from her third solo album, Deer Creek Canyon, and her widely acclaimed Sub Pop debut second album Only as the Day is Long.
- Thursday, July 31 – Tim Wilson of Seattle-based Ivan & Alyosha will perform his mix of folk-pop, indie and rock, sharing his personalized blend of rousing songcraft, infectious melodic hooks and thoughtful lyrical introspection with the audience.
- Thursday, August 7 – The Horde and the Harem is a collective of musicians from across the country who have gravitated towards the mystique of the Pacific Northwest. Ryan Barber, the founding member, started the project in 2009 and the band has since released their debut EP, a full length LP in 2012, and now their latest, more experimental EP Fairweather Friends in April
- Thursday, August 14 – Closing the series with a solo performance is Seattle-native Kris Orlowski. His music has touched the souls of people across the Pacific Northwest since 2010 with relatable storytelling, husky harmonies and knack for hitting emotional highs. The band recently launched its debut album, Believer, and will be concluding a six-week national tour with Jamestown Revival and The Wind and The Wave at the end of July.
