20 of our Favorite {Nearby} Places to Bounce, Jump, and Play

Winter days in the northwest often mean rain and cold temperatures that are not conducive to long periods of outdoor play.  So, what to do? Check out some great local and nearby options to keep the kids happy and you sane!  We asked the moms who publish nearby editions of Macaroni Kid to help us compile a list that should keep you and your kids bouncing, jumping, and playing throughout the fall and winter months!

BOUNCING

Kidz Bounce {Issaquah}  This is a great place for moms and dads to drop in for a few moments and recharge while your kids bounce off the walls (almost literally).  Kidz Bounce offers drop-in times Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9:30 am to 11:00 am and 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.  You can also bounce on Thursday evenings from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and sometimes they offer additional drop-ins on the weekends.  Drop-in rate is $7/child and under 2 is FREE. 


3-2-1 Bounce {Bellevue}: An indoor interactive play area offers parents and caregivers a great place to bring their little ones, ages 2 years and older, to exercise and play.  The facility is filled with inflatables, obstacle courses, air hockey, basketball free throws and more!  They offer 2 drop in sessions on both Monday and Tuesdays, 9:30-10:45 and 10:45-12:00.  Fees are $6 per child and parents are free.


Jump, Rattle & Roll {Monroe}: The place to get the wiggles out!  Jump, Rattle & Roll has dozens of inflatable bouncy houses and play structures available for daily playtimes. They have 8,500 square feet of interactive fun seven days a week, with a special play time for kids 6 and younger each Tuesday morning.  Drop-in play rates range from $3.50 - $7 (under 1 year and parents are free).  Be sure to wear socks!


Pump It Up {Kirkland & Lynnwood}: This massive inflatable indoor park allows children to burn off a ton of energy.  Open jump times are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30am-12pm.  Fees are $7 per child and $5 for siblings and parents are free.

Arena Sports FunZone {Issaquah & Redmond} is an indoor inflatable playground perfect for burning off lots of energy!  Kids have a blast running, jumping and sliding their way to fun.  You can bounce seven days a week with various hours each day. Drop-in rate is $6 per child for members, $9 per child for non-members. 


INDOOR PLAYGROUND
Rainbow's Playground Depot {Kirkland} is
 the best, cleanest, most exciting "backyard" you've ever seen ... and it's all INDOORS - no wet slides on rainy days!  Did you know The Rainbow Play System Showroom doubles as a giant indoor playground!?  It's a huge room filled with their amazing play structures - plenty of swings and slides and playhouses and climbing parts.  The playground is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.  $6/two-hour session.

Toddler Time {Issaquah} The Issaquah Community Center provides an indoor playground with toys, bikes, slides, wagons, and more!  You can play Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the fee is just $2 per child.

SnoValley Indoor Playground {North Bend} Located at the Community Center at Si View Park in North Bend, kids ages 0 to 5 are invited to come play on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 am. With four zones - the fast lane with trikes and cars, the climbing bridge, giant foam blocks, and a section for the little ones - you're practically guaranteed a good afternoon nap!  Drop-in fee is donation-based.

Let's Play {Sammamish}  It's a converted and full-finished five car oversized garage with 3,000 square feet of room to play!  Inside you'll find everything from a play kitchen and building blocks to a huge train table and even two large inflatables! My four year old could've stayed all day! Fee is donation-based (suggested $5-$7).


Happy Nest {Redmond} Enjoy playing with your child in this fun and cozy indoor play area for newborns up to 6 years old.  There are age appropriate play toys and activities for babies, toddlers, and children, which include, train tables, bouncy balls, slides, reading corner, art center, dramatic play, enclosed play area, and more.  Open play is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:30am-6:30pm, Tuesday and Friday 9:30am-4:30pm, and Sunday 9am-1pm.  Fees are $10 per child, $6 sibling, punchcards are available.


WiggleWorks Kids {Bellevue} A soft indoor play area right in the middle of Crossroads Mall.  Specifically for children 48 inches and shorter.  Most of the equipment spins, bounces, or swings for a complete interactive play experience.  Opened daily Monday-Sunday for drop-in play.  Fees are $10, $8 for siblings, 12 months and under free, value packs available.

Playdate Café {Lynnwood} is an innovative family and community focused gathering place for little ones and their favorite grown-ups. It's an ideal place for a play date with your friends or to make new ones! Our 8,500 square foot space includes: a large, imaginative play space designed for little ones 0-6, separate area for infants & crawlers, and a café serving delicious food & beverages with free Wi-Fi.

MUSEUMS

KidsQuest Childen’s Museum {Bellevue}: Hands on interactive educational museum for children ages birth to 8 years old emphasizing science, technology, engineering, and math.  Open Tuesday through Sunday.  Fees are $9 and children under 1 are Free.


Kids Discovery Museum {Bainbridge Island} KiDiMu is a nonprofit children's museum and a ferry ride destination for children and parents, caregivers or teachers to discover the joys of learning together! Take the Seattle-Bainbridge Island ferry and enjoy a short walk up to the Museum. Admission is free for members (and for anyone on the first Thursday of each month), kids 12 months and under, $6 adults and children, and $5 military.

 

Imagine Children’s Museum {Everett}  The museum just opened their fantastic new water feature which was well worth the wait!  All the great exhibits are still here, the Pizza Parlor, Vet Clinic, Tree House, Airplane and so much more.


OPEN GYM & TRAMPOLINES

Gymnastics East {Issaquah & Bellevue} offers Open Gym for any child in kindergarten through middle school.  Open Gym is available most Saturday evenings from 6:30pm - 7:30pm and 7:30pm - 8:30pm. Pre-registration is recommended, and the fee is just $8/hour.

Elevated Sports {Bothell}: An indoor trampoline park with 4 trampoline courts, a four story play castle, foam pit, dodgeball & Slam Dunk.  Open Jumps are daily Monday through Sunday.  See the website for pricing information.


Northwest Aerials Indoor Park {Kirkland}: NWA offers an open gym time on Friday from 9:30-10:30 for children 5 years and under.  The kids can experience the foam pits, bars, balance beams, inflatable slides, climbing wall, and more.  Fees are $10 per child or $15 for the family.


SkyMania Trampoline {Kirkland}: Spacious area filled with wall-to-wall trampolines and a foam pit for families to enjoy.  They offer a open gym times Tuesday thru Sunday.  Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00am t0 11:30am is set aside for toddlers (5 years and younger).  Fees for toddler time are $5 and parents are free.


Sky Valley Academy {Monroe}: Sky Valley Academy offers open gym play every Monday and Friday afternoon from 1:30-2:30 pm.  Balance, tumble, jump, climb and swing through a multitude of gymnastics equipment!  $6 per child.
