Citrus Spiced Mulled Apple Cider (serves 6)

Perfect for warming you up on chilly nights...

Warm up these chilly nights by lingering over a cup of this cider spiked with red wine. The aroma alone will get you in the holiday spirit.

Ingredients: 

  • 3 cups fresh-squeezed apple juice
  • 2 cups dry red wine
  • 1 grapefruit, thinly sliced 
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 2-4 Cinnamon sticks
  • 1-2 Whole Nutmeg pods
  • 15 – 20 Whole Cloves 

Combine apple juice and red wine in a pot over low to medium heat. Add sliced grapefruit, apple, and a handful of cinnamon sticks, cloves and nutmeg. Let simmer for at least ten minutes. Serve warm.
