Bedtime Struggle Inspires Children's Book

Local Mother Pens "Even Superheroes Have to Sleep", Launches a Kickstarter Campaign

By Sara Crow April 30, 2015
Sara Crow, mother to three young boys, wrote the book after a typical evening struggle.  "It was bedtime, and they didn't want to remove their superhero costumes - I assured them that even superheroes have to sleep and was immediately inspired," said Crow.

The book is a rhyming story starring various characters including a superhero, a princess, and a pirate. Written for one to six year olds, it teaches children that everyone needs their sleep.

Even Superheroes Have to Sleep is available on Kickstarter until May 3rd. Crow plans to self publish the book with the help of the crowdfunding site.  "After writing the book and finding an established, published illustrator - I wanted to focus on getting the book into children's hands not have it sit in a stack on a publishers desk" she stated.
