Hi Macaroni KID families!
I’m Annmarie, the local publisher of Macaroni KID Tacoma-Gig Harbor-Snoqualmie, and I have some exciting news: I’m looking for volunteer contributors and unpaid interns to help grow and strengthen this incredible community resource. Macaroni KID was always meant to be a community-created platform, and now is your chance to be a part of it!
If you’re passionate about local events, love writing or social media, or want to gain hands-on experience in digital publishing, marketing, or journalism — I’d love to hear from you!
🌟 Available Volunteer & Intern Roles
📸 Content Contributors:
Do you enjoy writing about family life, local experiences, travel tips, parenting hacks, or product reviews? We welcome short feature stories, articles, or even roundups from a parent’s point of view.
📆 Calendar Curators:
Help us keep the community calendar up to date by researching and submitting local family-friendly events each week.
🎨 Graphic Designers:
Design fun and seasonal graphics for guides, social media posts, and newsletters. Canva experience preferred (and we’re happy to share access/templates!).
📲 Social Media Interns:
Help grow our presence on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok by creating reels, posting events, and engaging with our followers.
📝 Guide Assistants:
Assist with compiling seasonal guides — like summer camps, back-to-school, holiday fun, or indoor play spots — by helping with research, outreach, and formatting.
🎥 Video Creators:
Do you enjoy making short videos or interviewing people on camera? We’d love help showcasing local businesses or spotlighting events with video content.
📣 Marketing & Outreach Assistants:
Help spread the word about Macaroni KID by contacting local businesses, schools, and libraries to let them know about our free resources or sponsorship opportunities.
