As a former teacher, mid-winter break meant the chance to sleep in and catch up on daytime television. During those days off school, I did things like grocery shop in the middle of the week and enjoy a lunch date with a friend. I read an entire novel without worrying about a stack of papers that needed to be graded. Now I am a stay-at-home mom, and there is no mid-winter break for me.
I know a lot of working parents will be looking for options for their kids during the week off. And I know most kids will be hoping for something fun to do! Here's a line-up of just a few of the options in our area, and we will be adding to this list in the weeks to come.
