We hope 2014 is off to a great start for you and your family! Kids are back in school and our routines are getting back to normal. It's January, which means we can expect windy, rainy weather and the need to increase our arsenal of indoor activities, crafts, and games.
Because I am always looking for an excuse to celebrate, and I really love a good list, here's a list of January highlights:
Macaroni Kid recently launched our NEW Photographer Guide, and we have some of the best from the area ready to capture your special moments.
Tomorrow (January 10th) just happens to be Dana's birthday, so sign your kiddo(s) up for our Birthday Club and read about Macaroni Kid, two of her favorite things!
January 11th is Step in a Puddle and Splash Your Friend's Day. We suggest grabbing your rubber boots and getting the okay from your friend :)
January 12th is Make Something with Lentils Day. Okay, I made that up, but we do have a great new recipe from Chef Kristen!
January 13th is the start of the next session of Fit Mama of Issaquah, a results-based workout program that is for moms only.
January 15th is National Hat Day, which is express consent to have a bad hair day! Hooray!
January 17th happens to be the deadline for nominations for Teacher of the Month.
January 18th is your chance to see Jake, Sofia, Doc McStuffins, and a cast of other Disney Junior characters at Kent Showare!
Kids don't have school on January 20th, and we hope to see you at our Bounce & Dream Pajama Party at Kidz Bounce! We'll be dreaming of a future without pediatric cancer while raising funds for and awareness of the Ben Towne Foundation.
January 21st is Hugging Day, and even though a hug may not help an ear infection, our friends at Optimal Health Chiropractic have a recipe for a Magic Salt Sock which can offer natural relief.
January 24th is Compliments Day, a great excuse to teach your miniMacaronis about sincere compliments. Be a role model and set a goal to give 5 compliments to 5 different people. And a great compliment to our area is Encompass with all their amazing programs for kids, families and you!
January 25th is the Annual Sno-Valley Preschool Fair which is a great resource for those looking for childcare and preschool options in the area. And Macaroni Kid will be there to welcome everyone at the door!
January 31st is Backward Day. Read a book backwards. Wear your shirt with the back in the front. Eat your meal, starting with dessert. Now that's what I call fun! Walk backwards, or talk backwards. Play a board game backwards, from the finish line to the start. Your kids are going to love this!
