You may have noticed browning on the sides of evergreen trees throughout Snoqualmie. Termed a “winter injury” or “wind burn,” it has occurred around town exclusively on the exposed southeast side of trees. This likely happened in the very strong winds and cold temperatures we had on February 12-13. In most cases, trees will recover from this, unless they were already declining prior to the winter injury. Learn more
