Salmon Viewing Walk & Art Project

By Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery and Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park September 17, 2022

Join us at the park on Sunday, October 9 for a special tour given by FISH Master Docent Larry Franks. This tour is a unique opportunity to see Coho salmon milling around and migrating upstream to spawn. This particular tour is a collaborative program between Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery and Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park. and is only offered once a year.

The walk will begin at the bathhouse and stop at various places along Issaquah Creek. The guides will discuss salmon spawning, riparian forests, water quality, and habitat needs for different species of salmon.

After the walk we will come back to the Bathhouse and make salmon prints!

To register, email director@flssp.org. Space is limited to 20 participants.
