The lazy days of summer are nearly here, and sometimes it’s fun to cool your heels and catch a flick as a family on the big screen. Summertime means big deals too on shows at local theaters – even free community movies outside! Here’s our list of what to watch in Issaquah, Sammamish, Snoqualmie and North Bend this summer:

2019 Summer Movie Express at Regal Cinemas Issaquah Highlands

Tuesdays and Wednesdays | Movies start at 10:00 a.m. and are rated G or PG | Admission is just $1 (but refreshments are still full price). Important to note that both movies play on both days at the same time:

  • Week 1: June 25 & 26, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies and Paddington 2
  • Week 2: July 2 & 3, Despicable Me 3 and Dr. Seuss' The Grinch (2018)
  • Week 3: July 9 & 10, Lego Movie 2 and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
  • Week 4: July 16 & 17, Smallfoot and Secret Life of Pets
  • Week 5: July 23 & 24, Lego Movie and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie
  • Week 6: July 30 & 31, Sing and How to Train Your Dragon 2
  • Week 7: August 6 & 7, Penguins of Madagascar and Boss Baby
  • Week 8: August 13 & 14, Kung Fu Panda 3 and Lego Ninjago Movie
  • Week 9: August 20 & 21, Trolls and Minions
  • Week 10: August 27 & 28, Madagascar and Shrek 2
  • Week 11: September 3 & 4, How to Train Your Dragon and Storks

FREE Summer Matinees at North Bend Theatre 

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, June 25 - August 29 at 12:00pm, each day. Free, family friendly films play at our local movie theatre in North Bend each week of summer break! Check out series schedule and more info at www.northbendtheatre.com. Summer matinees films are sponsored by Si View Metro Parks. 

OUTDOOR MOVIES

Warmer weather means outdoor movie time! Be sure to arrive early to claim your spot with low-back chairs, a blanket, pillows, and jackets. Pack snacks and bug spray too

Movies in the Park at Snoqualmie Ridge Community Park

Sit under the stars and enjoy movies for kids and teens on the 70 foot big screen at the Snoqualmie Community Park (outside the Community Center located at the YMCA). Movies are usually shown every-other Friday just after sundown with great local band performances on the Fridays in between:

  • July 18, 9:00pm - Incredibles 2
  • August 1, 8:30pm - How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
  • August 15, 8:30pm - Aquaman

Free Outdoor Movie at Si View Park

An all-ages movie will be shown at dusk at Si View Park in North Bend. Popcorn, snacks and drinks will be available at the concession stand. Sponsored by King County Parks and Si View Metro Parks.

  • Saturday, July 20, 7:30pm

Sammamish Outdoor Movies

New this summer, the City of Sammamish will be running a free outdoor movie series! The location changes, so please check the list to confirm before heading out:
