St. Joseph Parish School (SJS) located in Issaquah and Snoqualmie is an accredited Catholic School proudly serving students starting in preschool all the way through eighth grade. St. Joseph Parish School seeks to inspire and educate the whole child—heart, mind and soul. Through a strong sense of community, an emphasis on academics, and close partnership with St. Joseph Catholic Church, we foster lifelong learners who are spiritually active and socially responsible citizens of character. In the process we prepare our students for a bright and successful future.
A rising 6th grader says, “At SJS, I learn a bunch of new things – like a new game in PE, a new reading genre that I might like, science experiments, and more. There’s so much to learn. In Art, I get to show my creative side. In science, I get to do a lab experiment and use my own ideas. All of our school work challenges our minds. Plus, everyone is nice and friendly and we trust each other.”
St. Joseph Parish School recognizes each student as a unique individual. That is why we offer small class sizes ranging from 13-22 students with Instructional Assistants provided for kindergarten through fifth grade. Our Washington State certified teachers emphasize a core curriculum of language arts, literature, mathematics, social studies, science, and religion. Our academic excellence is reflected in our strong national test scores and our graduates are accepted to highly selective Catholic high schools. To date we have been able to offer funds to 100% of our families who seek financial aid.
