New Year’s Dining in Issaquah Highlands

The RAM, Bai Tong Thai, Big Fish Grill & more

Whether your New Year’s Eve plans include a date night with champagne or a special family meal, several new restaurants will fit the bill in Issaquah Highlands at Grand Ridge Plaza. Located off I-90 at Exit 18, the shopping center has a variety of choices for close-to-home dining. As an added bonus, each of these restaurants is locally owned and operated. Here’s a snapshot of the restaurants you’ll find in Issaquah Highlands.

Sip at the wine bar & restaurant
Executive Chef Emran Chowdhury mixes local flavors and a cooking style reflective of Washington’s wine country at Sip at the wine bar & restaurant. Savor farm-to-fork cuisine made from their organic garden and a local bounty from artisan partners. Sip offers an expansive wine list, with more than 200 labels from the Northwest. For New Year’s Eve, they’re offering a five-course prix fixe menu and live music with SideProject featuring special guest Jessica Rame.

Chinoise Café Sushi Bar & Asian Grill
Chinoise Café Sushi Bar & Asian Grill is a contemporary Pan Asian restaurant offering a wide range of Asian cuisine ranging from sushi to pho, and from wok dishes to summer salad rolls. Founded by Chef Thoa Nguyen, Chinoise Café fare mixes Asian tastes with the best of the Northwest. 

Agave Cocina & Tequilas
Contemporary Mexican cuisine, hand-crafted foods made-to-order, scratch artisanal cocktails, and one of the region’s largest selections of fine tequilas make Agave Cocina & Tequilas a local hot spot. Who’s ready for a margarita? 

Bai Tong Thai
Bai Tong Thai offers an authentic taste of Thailand in a setting that reflects traditional Thai hospitality. With a team of chefs who trained in Bangkok, Bai Tong Thai serves classics such as Crispy Garlic Chicken, Pad Kee Mao, and delicious curries, as well as vegetarian and vegan choices.

The Big Fish Grill

The RAM Restaurant & Brewery
The RAM Restaurant & Brewery is all about great food and hand-crafted beer – and sports on the big screens. The RAM brewers strive to create the freshest, most drinkable beers you will find. Plus, you can fill your own growler at their bar.

AJI Sushi & Grill
AJI Sushi & Grill boasts a head sushi chef with more than 20 years of sushi experience. AJI also offers hot, cooked Japanese dishes ranging from teriyaki to katsu. Kids love their noodle dishes too.

Directions and Parking at Grand Ridge Plaza: From I-90, take Exit 18 and follow E Sunset Way/Highlands Drive toward Issaquah Highlands. Continue on Highlands Drive for about half a mile to arrive at Grand Ridge Plaza. The shopping center offers plenty of free parking.
