Out & About: North Bend Parks

We are lucky enough to live in an area with TONS, and I mean TONS, of parks!  Whether you want to find a play structure for your kids, have a family picnic or enjoy some of the breathtaking views, you won't have to go very far!

This week Diana shares information on some of her favorite in North Bend.

EJ Roberts Park - 500 Thrasher Ave NE North BendE.J Roberts Park is a 4.9-acre neighborhood park located northeast of downtown within the Silver Creek Neighborhood. Park amenities include playground facilities, two tennis courts, a practice basketball court, restrooms, paved pathways, and landscaping

  • Restrooms:  Yes!  
  • Shade: Yes, some large trees provide nice shade.
  • Parking: There is some all around the park.

Si View Park and Community Center  - along Southeast Orchard Drive you will find two new playgrounds where kids can climb ropes that look like spider webs, speed along a zip line, scrabble around a climbing rock and so much more.  You'll also find the farmers market on Thursday evening throughout the summer.

  • Restrooms:  Yes!  
  • Shade: Yes, you'll find a few large trees along the edges of both playgrounds
  • Parking: There is some all around the park.

Si View Neighborhood Park - 939 Mountain View Blvd SE, (approximate address) North Bend,This park, located in the Si View subdivision, includes river access on the top of the flood levee, walkways, playgrounds and a multi-purpose sports court. The park contains five separate areas throughout the neighborhood, linked by paved trails.

  • Restrooms:  No.  
  • Shade: Among the trees.
  • Parking: Some.

Torguson Park750 E North Bend Way, North Bend.  There is something for everyone in the family at Torguson Park!  It is the city’s principal active recreation park. This area consists of six ball fields, a soccer field, restrooms, an 8,100 square foot skateboard park, picnic facilities, bike racks, informal BMX dirt bike track, tot lot, and climbing tower.  The fields are used from mid-May through Thanksgiving for league play, tournament play and sport camps.

  • Shade: Not really.
  • Parking: A ton of parking!
