Local Family Brings a Little Free Library to Sammamish

June 26, 2014
Little Free Library is a 'take a book, return a book' phenomenon.  It's the chance for neighbors - of all ages - to share their favorite stories.  Little Free Libraries are popping up all over the world, country, state, and within our own communities ... including a new local one at 2308 E Lake Sammamish Pl SE.

Local mom Julie Parker stumbled upon Little Free Library thanks to social media.  A random Facebook post inspired her to get involved and bring the first LFL to Sammamish.  Her motivation was two fold: give a little something back to the community while involving her two young sons in the process.  She even managed to talk her husband into building the library.

For the Parker family, Little Free Library is all about providing a fun way to find books and getting people excited about reading!  The family also has plans to use the library as a way to give to various charities throughout the year.

Plan a visit soon - 2308 E Lake Sammamish Pl SE, drop off a few books, take some "new to you" books, snap a photo, and please spread the word!
