30 Things to Do, See and Enjoy in November

It's November, the month of Thanksgiving, the World Series and football, and the start of the holiday hustle and bustle...but also a chance to be thankful for everything you have in your life. Here at Macaroni Kid we are thankful for you, our loyal subscribers. As a gift, here are more than 30 things for kids, grown-ups, and families to do, see and enjoy this month. - November 1st is a great day to start a 30-Day Thankful Challenge. “It is not happy people who are thankful. It is thankful people who are happy.”
- Stress Awareness Day is November 2nd. Time to take a deep breath as we head into the stressful holiday season.
- November 3rd is Men Make Dinner Day. Enough said. Come on MacDads, get to cooking!
- Plan to attend the 12th Man Football Frenzy at Julius Boehm Pool on November 4th and the new DreamWorks movie, Trolls, is in theaters.
- November 5th - take time to sign up for a race or walk in our area! Many are family-friendly too.
- On November 6th Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00am: Enjoy that extra hour of sleep, but be prepared for darkness to set in earlier.
- November 7th: Don't forget to Enter-to-Win a $100 gift card to Bai Tong Thai Restaurant in Grand Ridge Plaza. Contest ends on the 9th!
- November 8th: Well, it's Election Day. And there has never been more hype over a Presidential Election, until now. Did you vote?
- Did you know the average woman owns six bras but wears only two? On November 9th (or anytime really) put bras that are no longer needed to good use by donating them at Soma Intimates to help women affected by domestic violence.

- November 11th is Veteran's Day and Macaroni Kid’s Birthday (remember, no school too)!
- On November 12th you don't want to miss the Snoqualmie Ridge Turkey Trot 5K & Kid's 1K Fun Run ... and a chance to win money for the SVSD elementary schools.
- On November 13th it's time to be extra kind because it's World Kindness Day! Maybe a good day to revisit the 30-Day Thankful Challenge.
- Learn tips on making age-appropriate decisions about screen time on November 14th, by attending Growing Up Digital: Early Literacy, Screen Time and Young Children.
- Attend the Moms monthly meeting on November 15th.
- 'EMBRACE' the Documentary is coming to Issaquah on November 16th
- It's Take a Hike Day on November 17th - so #OptOutside for a family-friendly adventure!
- Don't miss Family Fun Day! - Tears of Joy Theatre presents Papagayo on November 18th at Si View Community Center.
- Plan to avoid the rain and cold temperatures by checking out one of the Nearby Places for Rainy Day Fun on November 19th.
- Hello! Bonjour! Hola! Ni-Hao! Ciao! ... November 20th is World Hello Day - you'll find over 20 ways to say hello here.
- November 21st: Hey do you "LIKE" Snoqualmie Valley-Issaquah Macaroni Kid on Facebook? It's where you will find last minute updates on events, as well as humor, recipes, helpful parenting tips and so much more!
- November 22nd is a great day to stop by the new Destination Playground at Lake Sammamish State Park.
- The 56th Disney animated feature film, Moana, opens in theaters on November 23rd.
- November 24th: It's Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day...so don't be shy, share your special talent with your family! And if it's making turkey disappear, you're in luck because it's also THANKSGIVING!
- Santa is arriving at Grand Ridge Plaza on November 25 at 4:30pm! You don't want to miss this fun, LOCAL, annual event!
